Survey and report Contact us for a one of our specialist surveyors to visit. We carry out a full inspection which includes; We can carry out a detailed survey of the property, identify the areas of mould growth and the causes. We look at the heating, ventilation, insulation, lifestyle and the type and construction of the property. We will take temperature and humidity readings in the property and advise on the dew point temperature. We then make recommendations on the necessary works to eliminate the mould. (Mould treatment and redecoration, Insulation – thermal board, Ventilation – extract fans to bathrooms and kitchens and passivents to bedrooms, provision of heating). We give additional advise on correct use of heating and ventilation and on measures to reduce condensation in the home. How do we treat the mould? With caution ! With a three stage treatment as follows: Stage one – wash down mould affected surfaces + 1 metre in all directions with Biocidal detergent. ( If the wall is papered wash down strip paper and wash down again ) THEN ALLOW TO DRY FULLY Stage two – apply biocidal barrier to same area as above.  THEN ALLOW TO FULLY DRY Stage three – apply two coats of biocidal emulsion.
